Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how they may be used on HealNurtura, how Google advertising works if we show ads, and how you can manage your choices.

- Applies to: healnurtura.com
In short: cookies are small files that websites and other services can store on your device. Some are needed for a website to work, and others are optional. You can control cookies in your browser and, for Google advertising, in Google's Ads Settings. We update this page when the tools we use change.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how HealNurtura ("we", "us", "our") and the third-party services we use or may use can set or read cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://healnurtura.com/.
HealNurtura is an online platform for skincare, health and fitness education, with an interactive Skin Analyzer tool. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your browser or device. It lets the website recognize your device on later visits or during the same visit.
Related technologies work in a similar way and are covered by this policy too:
- Local storage and session storage: browser features that let a page keep small amounts of data on your device.
- Pixels and web beacons: tiny images or code snippets that record that a page or message was viewed.
- Device identifiers and similar signals: identifiers used where cookies are not available.
Cookies are described by who sets them and how long they last. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by another company, such as an analytics or advertising provider. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.
3. Why websites use cookies
Websites, including ours, may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- make pages load and work correctly and keep the site secure;
- remember settings, such as a form entry or a language preference;
- measure how many people visit and which content is useful;
- detect fraud and invalid traffic;
- show, limit and measure advertising, and record referrals to partner stores.
| Category | Purpose | Usually set by | Consent in the UK and EEA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Site functionality, security and basic settings | HealNurtura, WordPress, our theme and plugins | Generally not required for strictly necessary cookies |
| Analytics and measurement | Understanding how the site is used | Analytics providers such as Google, if enabled | Generally required |
| Advertising | Showing, limiting and measuring ads | Google and its ad partners, if ads are enabled | Required for personalized ads |
| Affiliate and referral | Recording that a visit came from our site | The retailer, on its own website, after you click | Handled by the retailer |
4. Essential cookies
Essential cookies are needed for a website to function securely. HealNurtura runs on WordPress. WordPress, our theme and our plugins may set essential cookies, for example to keep an administrator signed in, to protect the site against misuse, or to remember the name and email address you chose to save on a comment or contact form, if such forms are enabled.
Under UK and European rules, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for generally do not need consent. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site may then stop working properly.
5. Analytics and measurement cookies
We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors find and use HealNurtura, such as which pages are read, which devices are used and the approximate region visitors come from. One example is Google Analytics, which can be connected to a WordPress site through Google's Site Kit plugin.
Analytics tools may set cookies or use similar technologies, and may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you view. We use this information in aggregate to improve our content and the site.
If we enable analytics cookies, we will list them on this page. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it before those cookies are set. You can also stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Advertising cookies and Google AdSense
Important: this section describes how Google advertising works. It applies whenever we display ads served by Google AdSense on this website. If we later work with other ad providers, we will name them here.
How Google uses cookies in advertising
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our visitors based on their visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
- Google and its partners may use cookies to stop you seeing the same ad repeatedly, to detect and stop click fraud, and to show ads that are likely to be more relevant to you.
- These cookies may be set from domains such as google.com, doubleclick.net, googlesyndication.com and googleadservices.com.
You can read Google's own explanation at How Google uses cookies in advertising and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Personalized advertising and how to opt out
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can visit aboutads.info or, in Europe, Your Online Choices to opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising.
Even if you remove or block cookies in your browser, Google may still use cookie-based information or other advertising technologies to personalize ads unless you turn off personalized ads in your Ads Settings. When personalized ads are off, you may still see ads based on factors such as your general location, derived from your IP address, and your browser type.
Because HealNurtura covers health topics, please note that Google has restrictions that prohibit advertisers from selecting an audience based on sensitive information, such as health information.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
Google's EU User Consent Policy requires publishers to obtain valid consent for the use of cookies or other local storage where legally required, and for the collection, sharing and use of personal data for ad personalization, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. If we display Google ads to visitors in those regions, we will do so with a consent management platform that Google has certified, and we will explain how to change your choice at any time.
7. Third-party cookies and embedded services
Some features on HealNurtura involve third parties, which have their own cookie and privacy policies:
- Google services. We may use Google services such as Site Kit, Google Analytics and, if enabled, Google AdSense. Google's own information is at How Google uses cookies, and its general terms are in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts. Our pages may load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, it contacts Google's servers, which receive your IP address and standard request information.
- Affiliate retailers. Some product links in our articles and in Skin Analyzer results are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. When you click one, you leave HealNurtura, and the retailer may set its own cookies to record that you arrived from our site. Please read the retailer's own cookie and privacy notices.
- Social media. Our pages link to our Facebook and Pinterest profiles. Following those links takes you to platforms that have their own cookie policies. If we embed social content or videos, those providers may set cookies when the embedded content loads.
- Hosted content. Images or other files may be delivered from third-party hosting or content delivery services, which receive your IP address when your browser requests them.
8. The Skin Analyzer
The HealNurtura Skin Analyzer is a questionnaire that gives general skincare guidance. It is not a medical diagnostic tool. It does not require an account, and the tool's page states that your answers are processed in your browser and are not sent to HealNurtura or any other service.
Like any interactive web page, the tool may use browser features such as session or local storage to work, for example to keep your answers while you move between questions. Where that happens, the data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
The product ideas in your results may include affiliate links. Clicking one takes you to a retailer's website, where the retailer's own cookies and policies apply, as described in section 7.
9. How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. The exact lifespan of a cookie is set by the provider that creates it, and it can change when that provider updates its service.
Google also keeps server logs of the ads it serves. According to Google, it anonymizes this log data by removing part of the IP address after 9 months and cookie information after 18 months.
10. How to manage or disable cookies
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies, usually under Privacy or Security in the settings menu. The steps differ by browser, so check the help pages for the browser you use.
- Google Ads Settings. Turn personalized ads on or off at myadcenter.google.com.
- Industry opt-out tools. Use aboutads.info/choices (United States) or Your Online Choices (Europe).
- Google Analytics. Install the Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Mobile devices. Use your device's advertising settings to reset or limit its advertising identifier.
If you block all cookies, some features of this and other websites may not work as expected. Blocking cookies does not remove ads, but the ads you see may be less relevant to you.
11. Cookie consent and withdrawing consent
HealNurtura does not currently use a cookie consent banner. For that reason, your main controls today are your browser settings and the opt-out tools in section 10.
If we introduce a consent tool, it will let you accept or decline optional cookies, and you will be able to change or withdraw your choice at any time. We will keep records of consent where required, and we will update this section to describe how the tool works. You can also withdraw consent by deleting cookies in your browser.
12. Your privacy rights and international visitors
HealNurtura is read by visitors in many countries. Privacy laws differ between them, and your rights depend on where you live. This section is a general summary, not legal advice.
- United Kingdom and European Economic Area. UK PECR and the EU ePrivacy rules generally require consent before non-essential cookies are stored or read, while strictly necessary cookies are exempt. Under the UK GDPR and GDPR you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
- United States. Some state privacy laws give residents rights regarding personal information, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising. If you live in such a state, you may contact us to exercise your rights.
- Canada. Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws generally expect meaningful consent when personal information is collected, including through online tracking.
- Australia. The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles may apply to how personal information is collected and used.
To exercise a privacy right or ask a question, write to contact@healnurtura.com. We will respond in line with the law that applies to you.
13. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this policy when the tools we use change, for example if we enable analytics, add advertising or introduce a consent tool, or when the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Please check back from time to time.
